AOT’s OPERA IMMERSION
An Opera Theatre has been active in local high schools even before our first production in 2018! We believe in uplifting the next generation through confidence in authentic self-expression, empathy in storytelling, and collaboration through art-making.
AOT’s Opera Immersion takes our mission offstage and into local high schools. In these 2-3 week residencies, we use storytelling and the creative process to teach about cross-cultural exchange and emotional self-expression to youth ages 14-18.
Our current Education Partners include LEAP High School, South High Schools, and Lions Gate Academy.
“It was so cool to get to work with these actual real professionals on an opera theater experience - it was amazing. I was so excited by all these cute costumes and cool props that were used during the performance, and how amazing the actors really were.”
