EXAMPLE LETTER TEMPLATE

I am emailing today to express my outrage and disappointment towards the suggested closing of LEAP High School. 

The St. Paul public school system boasts "culturally responsive teaching" but this plan is the exact opposite. There is no other High School in St. Paul that specifically serves the immigrant and refugee community at ESL levels 1-4. How is eliminating this helpful to anyone? It’s certainly not constructive for our community, nor the disadvantaged members we welcome into it. 

LEAP embraces students of all backgrounds, of all journeys, journeys many of us cannot even imagine. It is a school that welcomes outsiders and we need to make sure it is always an option for students to learn, grow, and thrive. I stand alongside these students and fight for their futures.

I hope you all will take the time and to consider other solutions where LEAP can remain open and forever be a safe space of learning.
